Power Harrows

HR 1030 RCS – HR 1040 RCS power harrows – Power harrows in the HR RCS range provide working widths from 4 to 6 metres. They are designed to work solo or in combination with a cereal or precision seeding bar. The soil is the most important factor in crop development. Correct seedbed preparation creates the environment for micro-organisms and root development which enable the plant to draw the nutrients it needs to develop. For larger farmers or contractors reducing the number of passes is also vital, to limit compaction and reduce costs. Therefore, farmers need versatile tools that can till the land and sow the seeds in a short timeframe. With fast working speeds and the choice of solo operations or combination with a cereal seeding bar, power harrows in the HR RCS range will allow you to meet these challenges head on. It is also possible to combine a precision seeding bar with the 4.5 and 6 metre versions.

HR 104-1004 & HRB 102-103 power harrows – This power harrow range offers a working width from 2.50 m to 6M. They can be rigid or foldable for efficient transport and can be used in solo or combined with a seed drill. 

Optimal seedbed preparation is imperative to achieve consistent germination and root development. Many factors including weather often require farmers to work in difficult conditions. The wide selection of tines and equipment as well as the large range of rotor speeds, are all arguments that will ensure your satisfaction with your KUHN power harrow. 

The height adjustment of the roller is easy by means of adjusting check pins. Free to move downward, the roller retains all its grip, even if the machine was to lift slightly during work. The rounded shape of the pin and the stop ensures a large contact area.

The specific design of the side deflectors guide and channel the soil to ensure a smooth finish between your passes. Fixed on the HRB roller arms, the deflectors follow the working height of the roller. On the HR 1004 series, they are mounted on reinforced arms. The efficiency and quality of work are maintained even in stony conditions.

HR 1030 R – HR 1040 R – HR 6042 R power harrows -These foldable power harrows offer working widths from 5 to 8 m and are adapted to high-powered tractors and are aimed at large farmers or agricultural contractors. Maximum power requirement varies from between 350 and 500 hp depending on the model selected. These power harrows are made for the larger tractors and so are compatible with category 3 and 4N hitches (and 4 for HR 1040 R models). 

The central gearbox is positioned towards the rear to increase the length of the PTO shaft and reduce working angles; an asset for tractors equipped with large-diameter wheels – increasing the lifespan of the drive shaft. 

As you would expect from KUHN the machine is specified for the larger tractor and increased power drive. As such an oil cooler is provided to protect the central gearbox against overheating. The oil cooler is impervious to dust and lengthens the life of the gear oil for less frequent changes. With its integrated pump, it is activated automatically with the PTO, the user does not need even need to switch it on! The entire drive train is protected against overloads by one or two torque limiters (depending on the model). The KTS 20 terminal, which comes as standard on HR 1040 R and HR 1042 R power harrows and as an option on HR 1030 R, enables the parameters to be monitored from the tractor cab while you are on the move.
